After 70 years of excellent 2 or 3-day conventions, CMTA is now presenting one-day hybrid Events in church venues.
We offer the same excellent equipping, training, encouraging and inspiring and through zoom, we are able to reach far beyond southern CA. Those who attend in person will have more fun interaction, energy from being together in person, networking and fellowshipping. We encourage you to come Join Us In Person!
CMTA was founded in 1951 as the Greater Los Angeles Sunday School Association (GLASS) with the first convention held in 1952. It is a voluntary association of individuals, Sunday Schools, churches and other organizations from various denominations who cooperate in training Christians for service in their local church. (The name was changed in 1993 because its scope became more than Greater Los Angeles and more than Sunday School.) Its services are used by churches and individuals throughout Southern California and neighboring states.
CMTA is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors from many denominations. Board members serve voluntarily without remuneration.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
